Most people want straighter teeth for one reason - straight teeth are more attractive. They want to smile confidently, without being self-conscious of their smile. Whether you've never had braces, or if you had them when you were younger but your teeth have shifted, clear aligners can help you get a smile that you love.
But when we straighten your teeth, enhancing the way your smile looks isn't the only goal. We improve the arch form and improve the alignment of your bite. This makes it easier to remove plaque and buildup, resulting in fewer cavities and reducing your risk of gum disease. As we correct the alignment of your teeth, we can put them in a more optimal position that will lead to less wear and loss of tooth structure.
Overall, you'll end up with a more attractive smile, a healthier smile, and a smile that functions optimally.
You're probably wondering, "What's the catch?" There's always a catch. The average cost for Invisalign or other clear aligners ranges between $5500-$7000. So how can we do them for only $2950? A big part of it is the brand of clear aligners that we're using.
We use Tréz PRO™ clear aligners, which can straighten your teeth more quickly and comfortably than traditional braces or other brands of clear aligners. Through May 5th they've cut their fees in half - and we're passing the savings on to you. We want to help you to smile more. Our goal at The Smile Lounge isn't to make the most money we can. We want to have an impact on our community. To help individuals improve their health, feel more confident, and enjoy going to the dentist is one way that we can positively influence Tigard and the surrounding communities here in Oregon.
So you may be wondering what it's like to get your teeth straightened with clear aligners. Here is a breakdown of the process:
Step 1 - Schedule and complete a cosmetic consult. We'll talk about your goals, take some pictures, and make a mold of your teeth. We'll send these off to the lab so that we can preview what the outcome will look like, and have an accurate timeline of how many months you'll be needing to wear your clear aligner trays.
Step 2 - We'll send you the simulated smile outcome, and once approved it takes about 2 weeks to receive the aligners, and start moving your teeth. Most treatment ranges from 6-12 months, depending on the complexity of your case and if you're wearing them for the recommended 22 hours per day.
Step 3 - We'll have an appointment every 6-8 weeks during your treatment to make sure that things are on track and that the teeth are moving the way we want them to. These appointments are typically about 30 minutes.
Step 4 - Once your teeth are in the position that we want, we have retainers made at no additional cost to you. This step is crucial to maintain the movements made over the previous months. You'll wear them during the day for a while, and eventually transition to wearing them only at night.
So what kind of Results are possible? Clear aligners can be great for simple to moderately complex cases. There may some instances where you need to be treated by an orthodontist, but that doesn't happen very often. Here are some examples of cases.
This first case is Emily. She was 34 and never liked the way her front teeth looked. She had never had braces before. As someone in the sales industry, she absolutely did not want to have metal brackets with traditional braces. After 6 months of treatment we were able to properly align her teeth so they are easier to keep clean, and give her more confidence to smile in front of clients, friends, and family.
The second case is Chris. He was 42, had braces when he was a teenager, but in his thirties the lower retainer broke off and his teeth began to shift. He started noticing he was grinding on his front teeth and they became a little sensitive when he was chewing. It took about 7 months to get everything dialed in with his case. Not only are his teeth straighter, but because we got his bite in a more optimal position, the sensitivity he was feeling is gone, and he is no longer wearing down his front teeth. He said the only regret he had was that he hadn't done it sooner.
